Moms In Touch Worldwide Day of Prayer
November 2nd, 2009
When my children were in elementary school and middle school, I was part of a Moms In Touch group. We met once a week for 1 hour to pray – just pray. No food, no chatting, no gossiping. Well, we did have coffee and tea and an occasional donut, but we set a limit of 10 minutes of talking…
Our Moms In Touch group took goodies to the school staff and asked how we could pray for them. It was amazing to see God open doors for us to care for our children’s teachers and staff. We prayed for the students who were always getting in trouble, we prayed for the students during testing week, when they’re out on field trips, when it’s flu season, etc. We saw God answer our prayers for our own children, the teachers, and the whole school.
On November 14, Moms In Touch is sponsoring a worldwide day of prayer, “Arise! Cry Out! – A Worldwide Day of Extraordinary Prayer for Children and Schools.” Check out their website to find out more.
Moms In Touch has no agenda but prayer. It’s a community of caring parents who know that we can’t do it without God’s help. If you are a parent like me who is not a perfect mom and need God’s help, find a location near you and join Moms In Touch.
