The economy and Christmas expectations
December 4th, 2008 / 4 Comments
“The economy is tough this year, please don’t worry about spending much; I am telling my kids not to expect much from people, it is the thought that counts.”
That email from my sister-in-law reminded me to have that talk with my own kids this year.
How about you? Have you prepared your children yet?
Here is what my kids CAN expect:
1. Joy to our household, vacation has come.
2. Marshmallow roasting on an open stove top, for s’mores.
3. O, a Christmas tree, how lovely with homemade ornaments.
4. Oh what fun, it is to ride in a van full of teens to Christmas caroling.

We’ve had the same conversation with our four kids. We’ve even cut out christmas cards this year to save money…but I found a great alternative that is FREE. Send Twas the Night Before Christmas Talk-e-book. Gift the book and enclose a card for free at http://www.todscircus.com . My KIDS LOVE all the TALK-E-BOOKS…so much better than Spongebob. They think they are watching a cartoon when they are really reading a book.
